LG Global Chairman Kwang-mo Koo and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance industrial automation and robotics. The partnership centers on LG developing a bipedal humanoid robot powered by the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T platform.
The upcoming humanoid robot will utilize NVIDIA Jetson Thor for onboard computing and NVIDIA Halos for system safety. LG will supply internal components, including LG Electronics actuators, LG Innotek sensors, and LG Energy Solution batteries by Q1 2027.
LG is also deploying NVIDIA DSX AI factory platforms and plans an 80-megawatt AI Factory in South Korea by 2028. Additionally, the firms will develop an AI-defined vehicle platform using NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion to modernize global manufacturing and transport.
