MSI Adds CXMT DDR5 Support to Intel and AMD Boards

MSI enables optimized CXMT DDR5 memory support on Intel 800-series and AMD AM5 motherboards, reaching speeds exceeding 8000 MT/s.

MSI has become one of the first manufacturers to offer optimized support for ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) DDR5 memory on Intel and AMD desktop platforms. On Intel 800-series motherboards, MSI demonstrated speeds exceeding 8000 MT/s, including a MEG Z890 Unify-X running 24Gb CXMT ICs at 8600 MT/s with an Intel Core Ultra 5 245K. A four-DIMM PRO Z890-S WIFI also showcased 32 GB Gloway modules using 16Gb CXMT ICs at 8200 MT/s. While the Chinese DRAM manufacturer primarily supplies its domestic market, MSI is integrating these optimizations into its Memory Try It one-click overclocking feature. The company plans to add higher-frequency profiles for both Intel and AMD lineups as validation of the CXMT memory solutions continues.
