AMD Adrenalin Drivers Reveal FSR 8x Frame Gen

AMD's Adrenalin 26.6.2 WHQL drivers and RadeonTuner reveal FSR 4.1.1 overrides, including a new 8x Multi-Frame Generation mode.

AMD's Adrenalin 26.6.2 WHQL drivers include new Multi-Frame Generation (MFG 8x) modes, according to findings from the RadeonTuner tool. Testing with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU and FSR 4.1.1 Override library version 2.3.0.2740 exposed driver options for FSR Multi Frame Generation Override and Ratio. The MFG 8x mode generates seven additional frames for each native frame, exceeding NVIDIA's 6x mode, which generates five frames, and Intel's 4x offering. RadeonTuner also displayed overrides for FSR Ray Regeneration and FSR Neural Radiance Caching. These features build upon FSR 4.1.1 technology and preliminary MFG support added to the ADLX FidelityFX SDK in April 2026.
