AMD to Unveil Zen 6 EPYC Venice CPUs in 2026

AMD CTO Mark Papermaster will introduce Zen 6-based EPYC Venice CPUs at the Advancing AI Event on July 22nd and 23rd, 2026.

AMD has confirmed the upcoming launch of its Zen 6-based EPYC Venice CPUs, scheduled for reveal at the Advancing AI Event on July 22-23, 2026. According to CTO and EVP Mark Papermaster, these processors are built on TSMC's 2nm process node, with production currently ramping in Taiwan and future manufacturing planned for TSMC's Arizona facility. The flagship EPYC Venice CPU will feature up to 256 cores, a significant increase over the 192 cores found in the current EPYC Turin lineup. AMD targets over 70% higher performance and efficiency compared to Zen 5 predecessors. Technical specifications include the new SP7 socket, support for 16-channel memory with up to 1.6 TB/s bandwidth, and the adoption of the PCIe Gen 6.0 standard. Following the server launch, AMD is expected to introduce mainstream client Zen 6 chips at CES 2027 in January.
