AMD Zen 6 Medusa Point APU Leaks on Geekbench
A 10-core AMD Medusa Point Zen 6 APU has surfaced on Geekbench, outperforming the Ryzen AI 9 365 despite low early clock speeds.
AMD's upcoming Medusa Point Zen 6 APU has appeared in the Geekbench database, tested on the Plum-MDS1 evaluation platform using an FP10 BGA socket designed for 28-45W SoCs. Identified as a Ryzen 9 chip with CPU ID 100-000001713-33_N, the processor features a 10-core, 20-thread configuration in a 4+6 core layout. The engineering sample operates at a 2.00 GHz base clock and a 2063 MHz maximum clock, featuring 32 MB of L3 cache, 10 MB of L2 cache, and FP16 AVX-VNNI support. In benchmarks, the chip scored 3174 in single-core and 15,092 in multi-core tests. This performance is 29% faster in single-core and 22% faster in multi-core than the average Ryzen AI 9 365, which boosts up to 5 GHz. AMD Medusa Point APUs are slated for a 2027 launch, with more details expected at CES 2027.
