NVIDIA Unveils Next-Gen Rosa CPU for Agentic AI

NVIDIA revealed its Rosa CPU at GTC 2026, featuring the Rigel architecture optimized for Agentic AI and high single-threaded performance.

At GTC 2026, NVIDIA introduced the Rosa CPU, a next-generation processor named after Nobel laureate Rosalyn Sussman. Coupled with the Feynman lineup, Rosa utilizes the Rigel core architecture based on Arm v9.2. It is specifically optimized for Agentic AI workloads, offering higher max single-threaded performance than its predecessor, the Vera CPU. Key enhancements include a larger L2 cache, improved instruction delivery, and more efficient memory handling. While the current Vera CPU features 88 Olympus cores and the Grace CPU has 72, Rosa is slated for the data center market by 2029. NVIDIA is currently shipping Vera Rubin racks, with RTX Spark chips using these cores arriving in fall 2026 and PC-specific Rosa Feynman Spark solutions expected by 2030.
