Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G9 IPL Debuts in US Market
Lenovo's ThinkBook 14 G9 IPL arrives in the U.S. for $1,124.25, featuring a YMTC SSD from a supplier on the federal Entity List.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G9 IPL is now available in the United States, retailing for $1,124.25 on Amazon. The device includes a 512GB YMTC M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, despite YMTC being added to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Entity List in 2022 and designated as a Chinese military company. Notebookcheck reports the YMTC drive delivers below-average performance for an office laptop SSD. Lenovo, headquartered in China, is the third largest PC brand after Dell and HP. In Q1 2026, Lenovo's market share grew 1.2% while total PC shipments fell 7%. Additionally, Apple is seeking U.S. permission to buy chips from CXMT, another designated Chinese military company.
