Intel Nova Lake Core Ultra 5 to Feature 18 Cores

Intel's Nova Lake-S Core Ultra 400S lineup will include 18-core models with Big Last Level Cache and a single compute tile by early 2027.

Intel is preparing its Nova Lake-S Desktop CPU lineup, also known as the Core Ultra 400S series, featuring two 18-core models within the Core Ultra 5 family. These CPUs will utilize a single compute tile and include Big Last Level Cache (bLLC) reaching up to 144 MB. The 18-core configuration consists of 6 Coyote Cove P-Cores, 8 Arctic Wolf E-Cores, and 4 LP-E Cores, supporting 18 threads. The lineup includes a 125W Unlocked version and a 65W Non-K version. These single-compute tile models are scheduled for an early 2027 release, while dual-compute tile variants are expected to ship a few months later. This architecture marks a shift for the Core Ultra 5 series, integrating advanced cache and core designs for the upcoming desktop platform.
