Microsoft Discontinues Surface Go and Laptop Go
Microsoft has ended production of the Surface Go 4 and Surface Laptop Go 3, narrowing its hardware lineup to the Surface Pro and Laptop.
Windows Central reports Microsoft has stopped manufacturing the Surface Go 4 and Surface Laptop Go 3, with no successors planned. This decision, made before memory price hikes from component shortages, narrows the lineup to the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop. The Surface Go 4, once $579, and Surface Laptop Go are now absent from Microsoft's website. The current range includes the 12-inch Surface Pro starting at $849 and the Surface Laptop starting at $949.99. This follows the discontinuation of the Surface Laptop Studio, Studio desktop, Headphones, Earbuds, Surface Book, and Surface Duo. Microsoft's future roadmap includes the Surface Laptop Ultra, scheduled for 2026 with Nvidia's RTX Spark. The company also lists the Surface-branded RTX Spark Dev Box, though it is not consumer-facing.
