AMD to Raise Radeon GPU Kit Prices by 10% in July

According to reports from Chinese Board Channels, AMD has notified its add-in board partners of an imminent 10% price hike for GPU kits scheduled for July 2026. These kits, which consist of a GPU die and GDDR6 memory, are essential components for partners like Sapphire, ASUS, and XFX to produce custom Radeon RX graphics cards with specialized PCBs. The price adjustment, expected to impact the third quarter of 2026, stems from a reported shortage of GDDR memory sourced from suppliers such as SK hynix, Samsung, and Micron. While the GPU kit represents only one portion of the total development costs for third-party manufacturers, this increase reflects the tightening supply chain for high-speed memory modules required for modern graphics hardware.
