Rockstar Games has opened preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI, with promotional prompts on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro home screens claiming the title is "best on PlayStation 5." While finalized performance specifications for PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S remain unreleased, footage has been showcased at 1440p and 4K resolutions. Notably, no official footage has exceeded 30 FPS, with the latest clips running at 1440p and 30 FPS. Digital Foundry analyzed screenshots during a Direct Weekly podcast, noting that Rockstar confirmed the second trailer, presented in 4K, ran on a base PS5. Early listings for the PS5 Pro version promise higher resolutions and more stable framerates, though specific targets for the sequel have yet to be confirmed.
