RTX 5090D Hits 4 GHz Overclock Milestone
Team OGS pushed the GALAX RTX 5090D HOF OC LAB to 4002 MHz, marking the first Blackwell GPU to break the 4 GHz barrier on HWBOT.
Team OGS from Greece has set a new performance milestone by overclocking the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090D to 4002 MHz, as recorded on HWBOT. Using an older version of the GALAX HOF OC LAB variant, which features dual 16-pin connectors and 36 phases, the team replaced the stock 27 MHz crystal with Elmor's External Clock Board to achieve a 28.7 MHz clock. This Blackwell GPU reached a VRAM boost of 1860 MHz and completed the GPUPI v3.3 - 32B benchmark in 35 seconds and 377 milliseconds. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 3.88 GHz set by Splave, making it the first Blackwell card to reach the 4 GHz mark. While significant, the frequency remains below the Radeon RX 9060 XT record of 4.769 GHz.
