Sandisk Samples BiCS10 1 Tb TLC 3D NAND Flash

Sandisk (SNDK) is sampling its 10th-gen BiCS10 3D NAND, featuring 332 layers and a 59 percent bit density increase over previous generations.

Sandisk Corporation (Nasdaq: SNDK) has begun sampling its BiCS10 1 Tb TLC 3D NAND flash memory, the company's 10th-generation technology. Built on the Bit-Cost Scalable 3D NAND architecture with CMOS directly Bonded to Array technology, BiCS10 increases the layer count to 332 and achieves a memory density exceeding 29 Gb/mm2. This represents a 59 percent improvement in bit density compared to the 8th-generation 3D flash memory. Performance is enhanced with an interface speed of up to 4.8 Gb/s, a 33 percent boost over BiCS8, while incorporating Toggle DDR6.0, the SCA protocol, and PI-LTT technology. Efficiency gains include a 10 percent reduction in input power and a 34 percent reduction in output power consumption.
