G.Skill DDR5-6000 EXPO ULL Kits Hit Retail

G.Skill launches DDR5-6000 memory with AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency, offering performance gains for Ryzen 9000 CPUs despite high retail prices.

G.Skill has released new DDR5-6000 memory kits supporting AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) profiles, with 32GB kits reaching a retail price of $1,099.99. Although AMD’s David McAfee stated at Computex that EXPO ULL would cost roughly the same as standard EXPO kits, G.Skill attributes the current price gap to rising DRAM IC costs and retailers mixing old and new inventory. G.Skill does not list MSRPs due to market fluctuations. AMD claims EXPO ULL, which enables automatic overclocking, provides a 13% frame rate increase over JEDEC memory and a 4% gain over original EXPO settings. Testing with a Ryzen 7 9700X across 30+ games also showed a 15% improvement in 1% lows compared to JEDEC. The technology builds on existing EXPO standards to optimize performance for the latest processors.
