AMD Dominates Microcenter CPU and GPU Sales
AMD Ryzen CPUs claim eight of the top 10 spots at Microcenter as the company expands its Radeon RX 9000 series and AM5 support.
AMD Ryzen processors have established themselves as the top choice for gamers at Microcenter, where CEO Rick Machad notes that eight of the top 10 most popular CPUs are currently AMD Ryzen chips. This dominance is bolstered by AMD's strategic AM5 platform longevity plan, which guarantees support through at least 2029 and saw the release of Ryzen CPU refreshes in 2026. The company's influence extends into the graphics sector, where one out of every three desktop graphics cards sold at Microcenter is an AMD-based product. This follows the recent launch of the Radeon RX 9000 series, including the Radeon RX 9070 XT. Furthermore, AMD continues to leverage its custom-silicon expertise for the console market through ongoing partnerships with Sony and Microsoft.
