Apple has launched the M6 Mac mini starting at $899, featuring 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of SSD storage. This follows the $799 M5 Mac mini from June and the $599 M4 base model from October 2024. A maxed-out M6 Mac mini now reaches a price of $2,229.
The M5 Pro Mac mini starts at $1,699 with a 15-core CPU and 16-core GPU, while the M5 Max Mac Studio begins at $2,499. High-end upgrades include a $3,800 8TB SSD for the M5 Pro and a $7,500 16TB SSD for the M5 Ultra Mac Studio, which itself starts at $5,499.
These price points reflect significant shifts in Apple's desktop lineup. The M5 Pro Mac mini can reach $6,699 when fully configured, while the M5 Ultra Mac Studio with 256GB of RAM and maximum storage represents the new performance ceiling for pro users.
