Arm has reached a major milestone, shipping 1.5 billion Neoverse cores to datacenters, with 500 million units delivered in the last nine months. A 2026 IDC report confirms Arm now holds over 60% market share as the host CPU in global AI server platforms.
The new Arm AGI CPU, built on TSMC 3nm technology, features a dual chiplet design with 136 Neoverse V3 cores and 100 billion total transistors. It supports DDR5-8800 memory, CXL 3.0, and 96 PCIe Gen6 lanes, achieving sub-100 ns latency within a 300W TDP limit.
With AI token usage expected to grow 24x by 2030, Arm projects $2 billion in AGI CPU demand for 2027-2028. Partners like Supermicro and Lenovo are deploying liquid-cooled racks that offer 2x the performance per rack of x86 IP within a 36kW power envelope.
