Commodore Unveils Cyberpunk 2077 Edition C64

Commodore and CD Projekt Red partner to launch the Commodore 77, a high-performance FPGA hardware unit featuring a custom neon design.

Commodore has announced the Commodore 77, a special edition of the C64 Ultimate created in collaboration with CD Projekt Red. Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, this hardware features a smoked translucent base with internal LEDs and a brushed metal keyboard plate.

The unit utilizes an AMD Artix-7 XC7A100T FPGA processor, offering twice the logic and block RAM of the XC7A50T. It targets 77 MHz speeds and includes 24 channels of stereo SID music, a themed BASIC 2.0 boot screen, and a 2MB demo by Arise with LukHash music.

Preorders open August 25, 2026, for $377, with shipments starting in early 2027. The package includes a custom neon power light, stickers, and a spiral-bound guide. This 68-year-old brand also recently launched the Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection.
