Intel's public graphics CI infrastructure has confirmed that desktop Nova Lake-S silicon is taped out and running Linux internally. Kernel boot logs from the intel-gfx-ci project, specifically test run xe-fixes-259, identify two active NVL-S test boards.
The logs reveal two configurations: a 24-core, 24-thread sample clocked at 3,400 MHz and a 28-core, 28-thread variant at 3,200 MHz. Both boards, using a July 2026 BIOS, feature CPUID 300F15 and support advanced instruction sets including AVX-512 and APX.
This development marks a significant milestone for Intel's future client platform. The appearance of functional Fab2 and OC EVCRB hardware in the drm-xe-fixes branch indicates that Nova Lake-S is progressing through critical early-stage silicon validation.
