Keychron has officially announced its new MagOpt switch technology alongside the G6 HE, a lightweight gaming mouse featuring a PAW 3955 sensor and seven retro color options. The company is also refreshing its compact M4 gaming mouse, specifically designed for fingertip grip users, to include these new MagOpt switches.
The updated M4 MagOpt will be available in four translucent colorways: Frosted Lavender, Frosted Ice, Frosted Smoke, and Frosted Mint. While the previous M4 8K model utilized a PixArt PAW 3950 sensor and Huano mechanical switches, Keychron has not yet confirmed if the MagOpt version will adopt the newer PAW 3955 sensor or open-source firmware.
Pricing for the M4 MagOpt remains unannounced, though the standard M4 8K currently retails for $69.99. The G6 HE is expected to launch at approximately $90. These releases represent a significant hardware pivot for Keychron as it integrates magnetic-optical technology into its specialized, high-performance gaming peripherals.
