CLEARresult Debuts 80 PLUS Ruby Efficiency Tier

Seasonic's PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600 becomes the first power supply to achieve the new 80 PLUS Ruby rating for high-performance computing.

CLEARresult has officially unveiled the 80 PLUS Ruby tier, marking the new highest efficiency standard in its power supply certification program. Seasonic is the first manufacturer to achieve this rating with its PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600, a 1600W unit.

The 80 PLUS Ruby standard introduces a unique requirement for efficiency at the 5% load level, a first for the program. While the RX-1600 is designed for AI systems and workstations, full technical specs and pricing have not been released as of August 2026.

This certification matters as it pushes power efficiency boundaries for high-performance computing. By exceeding Ruby specifications, Seasonic sets a new benchmark for desktop and enterprise power delivery, though market availability remains unconfirmed.
