The community-led MSI ClawLab Intel VRR Range Fix project has officially released update v2.2.0. This utility targets the MSI Claw A1M, Claw 7 AI+, Claw 8 AI+, and Claw 8 EX AI+ handhelds, introducing new profiles to enhance variable refresh rate performance.
Version 2.2.0 adds profiles unlocking stable VRR ranges of 30-120 Hz and 45-120 Hz. It also introduces experimental testing profiles reaching up to 180 Hz, including 48-180 Hz and 30-180 Hz ranges, though these are currently considered unstable for users.
These updates allow users to push hardware limits, though success with experimental 180 Hz profiles depends on the individual display quality lottery. Detailed installation instructions for the v2.2.0 update are now available on the project's GitHub page.
