Corsair Debuts 2026 RMe Series Platinum PSUs

Corsair's new ATX 3.1 RMe Series power supplies feature a ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 cable that monitors heat to prevent GPU connector damage.

Corsair has launched its 2026 RMe Series Platinum power supplies, featuring the RM850e and RM1000e models. These units are ATX 3.1 certified and PCIe 5.1 compliant, boasting a compact 140mm length, 105°C capacitors, and a fully-modular design for PC builders.

The series includes a ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 600W 12V-2x6 cable with built-in Over Temperature Protection. A hardware sensor in the cable comb monitors heat 30mm from the GPU, automatically shutting off power if temperatures exceed 65°C to prevent damage.

Available in black or white, these Cybenetics Platinum-certified units offer 91% efficiency and a Zero RPM Mode. The hardware combo requires a native 12V-2x6 GPU connector and includes a seven-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability for high-end rigs.
