Geekom has confirmed that malware was discovered in driver packages for several mini PC models, including the A7, A8, AE7, AX7 Pro, and AX8 Pro. Windows Security flagged the drivers as a trojan, a finding verified by VirusTotal and MetaDefender after reports.
The infection was confined to a legacy LAN driver page that, while not linked on main product pages, remained publicly accessible and indexed. Geekom stated the issue stemmed from an outdated resource and has since removed the affected page from its website.
Users who downloaded the file should delete it and run a full security scan. Geekom clarified that pre-installed systems are unaffected, but recommends reinstalling drivers via Windows Update or performing a clean Windows install for complete peace of mind.
