Seasonic Earns First 80 Plus Ruby PSU Certification

The Seasonic PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600 has become the first ATX power supply to achieve 80 Plus Ruby efficiency status at 115 V.

Seasonic has achieved the first 80 Plus Ruby certification for an ATX power supply tested at 115 V with its PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600. This 1600-watt model is designed for high-end desktops, professional workstations, and intensive GPU or AI-driven workloads.

The Ruby tier represents the highest efficiency level in the 80 Plus program. To qualify at 115 V, units must reach 85% efficiency at 5% load and 95% at 50% load. The RX-1600 met all CLEAResult requirements, including a power factor of 0.95 at 20% capacity.

This milestone continues Seasonic's history of efficiency leadership, following its first Gold certification in 2008. While the RX-1600 sets a new benchmark for power delivery, the company has not yet released specific pricing or retail availability details.
