Intel Nova Lake CPUs Rumored for 2027 Release

Intel's upcoming Nova Lake lineup will reportedly feature a new four-digit naming scheme and up to 52 cores on the LGA 1954 socket.

Intel is reportedly preparing its Nova Lake CPU lineup for a 2027 release, introducing a new four-digit numbering scheme. The flagship Core Ultra 9 4950K is rumored to feature 28 cores, utilizing 8 Performance, 16 Efficiency, and 4 Low Power Efficiency cores.

Leaked specifications for the Nova Lake-S series include support for DDR5-8000 memory and the LGA 1954 socket on Z990 boards. High-end SKUs like the Core Ultra DX P3DX may offer 52 total cores, a 175W TDP, and 288MB of cache, while others lack integrated GPUs.

As the successor to the Core Ultra Series 3, Nova Lake represents a significant architectural shift for Intel. With the inclusion of NPU6 and Xe3 GPU technology, these processors aim to redefine desktop performance standards between January and September 2027.
