AMD launched the Radeon RX 9050 in late July 2026, targeting Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Latin America. The RDNA-4 card features 16 Compute Units, 1,024 shaders, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus. A 4GB OEM variant is also available via CyberPowerPC builds.
Hardware Unboxed bypassed AMD's review sample restrictions to test the $279 GPU. Benchmarks show the RX 9050 averaging 49 Fps in Full HD and 33 Fps in WQHD. Notably, the older Radeon RX 7600 outperforms this new model by 22 percent in 1080p gaming scenarios.
The launch coincides with a 10 percent price hike for GPU kits, already impacting the RX 9070 XT. Despite a low 92W power draw and Adrenalin 26.7.1 support, the RX 9050 matches the RTX 5050 in WQHD performance while facing immediate market price fluctuations.
