Framework Updates Laptop 13 Pro SSD Options
Framework switches Laptop 13 Pro Gen 5 SSDs to ADATA XPG MARS 970, offering better performance and lower prices for pre-order customers.
Framework has updated its Laptop 13 Pro pre-order page, replacing the previous Gen 5 SSD with the ADATA XPG MARS 970. Available in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities, the new drive provides improved performance, efficiency, and reliability at a lower cost than the previously qualified drive. Existing pre-orders with a Gen 5 SSD will be automatically switched to the new hardware and repriced. Notably, the 1 TB ADATA option is priced lower than the original 500 GB drive, and those orders will be upgraded to the 1 TB version at the lower price automatically. Framework also continues to offer PCIe 4.0 options using Sandisk SN7100 and 850X drives. While pre-orders remain fully refundable before shipment, the company anticipates a system price increase for new orders in the coming weeks due to rising processor costs.
