TSMC to Raise Advanced Chip Prices by Up to 10%

TSMC is reportedly increasing prices for advanced and legacy chips by 5% to 10%, impacting major clients like Apple, Nvidia, and AMD.

TSMC has reportedly notified customers of price hikes ranging from 5% to 10% across its 3nm, 5nm, 7nm, and legacy product lines. According to a June 23rd Culpium report, these increases will affect major tech firms including Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and MediaTek. Advanced nodes, defined as 7nm and below, represented 74% of TSMC's wafer revenue in the first quarter of 2026, with 3nm alone contributing 25%. Despite the hikes, CEO C.C. Wei noted on June 4, 2026, that customers remain positive regarding the AI demand outlook. TSMC reported $35.9 billion in Q1 revenue with a 66.2% gross margin and has raised its 2026 growth target to over 30%. The company is currently expanding manufacturing capacity in Taiwan, the U.S., Japan, and Germany, with its Arizona facility already sold out through 2027 since early 2025.
