AMD Launches FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000 Series

AMD released FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000 GPUs via Adrenalin driver 26.6.2, bringing AI upscaling to RDNA 3 hardware ahead of schedule.

On June 22, 2026, AMD officially launched FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards, arriving earlier than the projected July 2026 window. Available through Adrenalin driver version 26.6.2, the update supports discrete GPUs from the RX 7600 to the RX 7900 XTX, though RDNA 3 APUs are currently excluded. To enable FSR 4.1 on RDNA 3, AMD optimized machine learning models using INT8 calculations rather than the FP8 used by RDNA 4. Senior Vice President Jack Huynh noted that this official port offers superior detail reconstruction and performance compared to a community mod that emerged after a September 2025 leak. While FSR 4.1 is already compatible with over 300 games, AMD plans to extend support to Radeon RX 6000 series cards in early 2027, leveraging the RDNA 2 architecture's native INT8 acceleration capabilities.
