GIGABYTE Debuts B550 AORUS Elite WiFi7 Motherboard

GIGABYTE launches the B550 AORUS Elite WiFi7 for Socket AM4, featuring Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support alongside DDR4 memory compatibility.

GIGABYTE has introduced the B550 AORUS Elite WiFi7, an ATX motherboard designed for the Socket AM4 platform and timed with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D re-launch. As an upgrade to the B550 AORUS Elite AX V2, this board replaces the Wi-Fi 6E module with a Realtek RTL8922AE Wi-Fi 7 WLAN module, supporting 160 MHz channel width and Bluetooth 5.4. It features a Wi-Fi antenna EZ-plug connector instead of traditional screw-type RP-SMA connectors. Built with a 12+2 phase VRM, the board utilizes 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors. Expansion includes one PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slot, one M.2 Gen 4 NVMe slot, and a second M.2 Gen 3 slot wired to the B550 FCH. Connectivity is rounded out by 2.5 GbE LAN, a Realtek ALC1200 audio codec, and various USB ports including two 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The motherboard is expected to retail for under $160.
