Asgard CXMT DDR5 RAM Hits 8800 MT/s on ASUS Z890

Asgard's 48GB DDR5 kit using CXMT chips hit 8800 MT/s on an ASUS Z890 motherboard, highlighting high-speed gains for Chinese memory tech.

Asgard has pushed its Valkyrie II RGB Special Edition 48 GB DDR5 RAM kit to 8800 MT/s on an ASUS Z890 AYW Gaming WiFi W motherboard. The kit features two 24 GB sticks powered by 24 Gb chips from China-based ChangXin Memory Technology (CXMT). Operating at CL46-56-56-132 timings, the achievement demonstrates the growing capabilities of CXMT memory, which has also reached 8600 MT/s on AMD platforms using Colorful motherboards and 8200 MT/s on MSI Z890 boards. Motherboard vendors like ASUS have already issued BIOS updates to support these CXMT DDR5 chips, which are being adopted by memory makers for new high-performance lineups. CXMT-based modules are now consistently exceeding 8000 MT/s across various platforms, including recent AMD and Intel Z890 systems.
