Framework Previews Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 Desktop

Framework unveiled a high-performance desktop featuring AMD's 16-core Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 chip and 192 GB of unified memory at AMD's AI event.

At the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event, Framework previewed a new Desktop PC powered by the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 chip, which features 16 Zen 5 cores clocked at 5.2 GHz. The system integrates a Radeon 8065S GPU with 40 RDNA 3.5 cores at 3.0 GHz and 192 GB of Unified LPDDR5X memory offering 273 GB/s bandwidth at 8533 MT/s. Demonstrated running DeepSeek V4-Flash at Q8, the hardware includes an open-ended PCIe x4 slot. Framework also showcased a cluster concept using two 50 GbE NICs for RDMA over Ethernet, pooling 384 GB of memory across two units. While the base MAX+ 395 system starts around $3500, the 192 GB model is expected to exceed $5000 in late 2026, positioning it against the $5000 NVIDIA DGX Spark. Framework plans to offer a pre-built version pre-loaded with a Linux distribution.
