Hisense is launching a firmware update to bring the new Dolby Vision 2 HDR standard to its 2026 television lineup. The update targets the UX, UR9, UR8, and U7 models, including the U7 Pro variant, running on either the Google TV or VIDAA operating systems.
The update enables Dolby Vision 2 Max, featuring Content Intelligence for real-time adjustments and Light Sense 2 for ambient light optimization. Users gain an intensity slider, Authentic Motion for sports, and advanced Pro settings for display calibration.
While TCL and Philips also integrate this tech, Hisense brings Dolby Vision 2 Max to existing hardware despite high processing demands. Support is expected from streamers like Peacock and CANAL+ as the rollout begins in Europe and North America.
