AMD Adds GFX1171 RDNA 4m Support to Mesa 26.3

AMD expands its Mesa 26.3 graphics driver with GFX1171 support, a new RDNA 4m GPU target following the GFX1170 and GFX1172 releases.

AMD has officially integrated support for the GFX1171 GPU target into the Mesa 26.3 graphics driver. This internally assigned architecture ID belongs to the RDNA 4m family, joining the GFX1170 and GFX1172 identifiers introduced by the company earlier in 2026.

The Mesa 26.3 driver code indicates that there are currently no functional differences between the GFX1170, GFX1171, and GFX1172 targets. All three share the RDNA 4m classification, suggesting a unified driver path for these upcoming graphics components.

These RDNA 4m targets are linked to the Medusa Point APU family, which succeeds Strix Point. Medusa Point integrates Zen 6 CPU cores with RDNA 4m graphics on a single chip, representing a significant architectural shift for AMD's next-generation processors.
