Noctua has launched a comprehensive database featuring manual CPU cooler clearance measurements for more than one hundred PC cases. The company performed these physical checks to provide dedicated compatibility tables for its various cooling solutions.
The data reveals discrepancies in official specs, finding the Corsair 4000D and 5000D offer nearly 10mm of extra space. Conversely, the ASUS Prime AP201 was found to have approximately 2mm less clearance than its manufacturer-listed specifications.
Accurate measurements are vital for large hardware like the 168mm NH-D15 G2. Noctua intends to expand this resource by manually measuring additional chassis, ensuring builders can reliably verify fitment before purchasing high-end air coolers.
