Synology Launches DiskStation neo+ Series NAS

Synology debuts the DiskStation neo+ Series, featuring 2.5GbE ports and M.2 SSD slots across four new models for high-performance storage.

On August 6, 2026, Synology launched the DiskStation neo+ Series, including the DS1825neo+, DS1525neo+, DS925neo+, and DS725neo+. Built on the DS Plus platform, these models will coexist with the standard lineup and are available via global channels.

The neo+ models come with 4 GB non-ECC DDR4 memory, expandable to 32 GB with ECC options. They feature 2.5GbE ports and M.2 slots for SSD caching. The DS1825neo+ and DS1525neo+ add PCIe 3.0 slots, while the DX525 unit allows for further storage expansion.

Executive VP Bie-I Chu highlights the series' integration with DiskStation Manager. The lineup includes Synology Drive for data sharing, Active Backup Suite for cloud protection, and Surveillance Station, providing a robust ecosystem for security and sync.
