Micro Center Drops Intel Core Ultra 7 270K to $199

Micro Center is offering the 24-core Intel Core Ultra 7 270K for $199, a $150 discount available exclusively for in-store pickup.

Micro Center has slashed the price of the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus to just $199, marking a significant $150 discount from its regular retail price. This 24-core processor deal is currently available exclusively for in-store pickup at retail locations.

The chip launched at $299, though Intel later adjusted the recommended price to between $339 and $349. For builders, a $599 bundle includes this CPU, a GIGABYTE Z890 Eagle WiFi Plus, and 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, offering a total savings of nearly $279 overall.

This aggressive pricing positions the 270K Plus against the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D, also priced at $199. With the same core and thread count as the flagship Core Ultra 9 285K, this discount provides high-end performance at a fraction of the usual $500 cost.
