NBA 2K27 Early Access Reveals NVIDIA DLSS 5 File

A new NVIDIA neural rendering library file has been discovered in the NBA 2K27 directory, signaling the arrival of DLSS 5 technology.

NBA 2K27 has launched in early access on PC, revealing a new NVIDIA library file named nvngx_dlssnr.dll within the game directory. Discovered by Renan Maniero, the 158 MB file is identified as NVIDIA DLSSNR version 310.8.0.0, dated August 26, 2026, in Windows.

The discovery follows NVIDIA's March announcement of DLSS 5 as a real-time neural rendering model. While GeForce driver 610.47 added hidden DLSS-NR entries in May, the new DLL is three times larger than the 20 to 50 MB builds seen in DLSS 4 Super Resolution.

Although the file is present, NBA 2K27 does not currently offer a DLSS 5 or Neural Rendering toggle in its settings. NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the title for DLSS 5, which uses engine data to process rendered output via a neural rendering model.
