NVIDIA has launched the Jetson Orin Nano 2, a new robotics computer designed for entry-level edge AI. Built on the Ampere architecture, the module features an 8-core Arm CPU and 8 GB of LPDDR5x memory, delivering a high bandwidth of 120 GB/s for developers.
The hardware offers up to 78 TOPS of AI compute with a 40W TDP, doubling the AI and video processing performance of its predecessor. At 15W, it matches previous performance levels while consuming 40% less power, optimizing efficiency for edge deployments.
Supporting the NVIDIA Open Software Stack, the Orin Nano 2 works with Jetson Agent Skills and models like Cosmos and Nemotron. Both the module and developer kit are scheduled for release in the first half of 2027, expanding capabilities for robotics AI.
