NVIDIA GeForce Evangelist Jacob Freeman announced on X that the upcoming NVIDIA App build will feature integrated Resizable BAR control options. Users can select between Auto, Enabled, and Disabled modes, with Auto serving as the default configuration.
Resizable BAR enables simultaneous CPU-to-GPU memory transfers, replacing the legacy 256 MB chunk limit with full memory access. The technology requires a compatible GPU, such as an RTX 30-series, and a PC booting in UEFI mode with CSM disabled for support.
First introduced by NVIDIA in April 2021, this feature historically required specific hardware like Ryzen 3000 or Intel 8th Gen processors. The new app integration simplifies management of the setting, which optimizes performance based on system requirements.
