Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 11 update KB5121003 is causing system instability and crashes. The issue stems from RGB software drivers, such as inpoutx64, which interfere with core system components and trigger Blue Screens of Death on launch.
Affected titles include Arc Raiders, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and The Finals, which display an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. These RGB drivers interface with peripheral controllers in kernel space, leading to game freezes and total system failure.
Microsoft and Embark Studios suggest using the Registry Editor to manually disable the driver as a temporary fix. Users are encouraged to report further issues via the Feedback Hub while Microsoft investigates the link between RGB components and crashes.
