Intel Nova Lake-S to Feature 28-Core CPU Design

Intel's upcoming Nova Lake-S desktop processors will reportedly offer a 28-core configuration with 144 MB of cache and high power limits.

Intel's upcoming Nova Lake-S desktop lineup reportedly features a high-end 28-core CPU configuration. According to a leak from Golden Pig Upgrade on Weibo, this single-compute-tile processor includes 8 Cove P-Cores, 16 Arctic Wolf E-Cores, and 4 LP-E cores.

The 28-core model is expected to utilize Intel's Big Last-Level Cache (bLLC) technology, offering 144 MB of cache to compete with AMD's 3D V-Cache. While previously listed with a 125W TDP, new data suggests a PL1 power limit reaching as high as 296W.

This architecture marks a significant shift in power demands, as dual-tile Nova Lake-S chips may reach a PL2 limit of 474W. Future reports from early 2026 even suggest massive bLLC configurations scaling up to 52 cores and 288 MB of cache for enthusiasts.
