AMD Driver Adds Radeon RX 9050 4GB Support

AMD's Adrenalin 26.8.1 driver introduces support for the RX 9050 4GB GPU and optimizes performance for several new gaming titles.

AMD has released the Adrenalin Edition 26.8.1 WHQL driver, adding support for the new Radeon RX 9050 4 GB edition GPU. This entry-level RDNA 4 card follows the 8 GB model supported in version 26.7.1 and is reportedly an OEM exclusive priced at roughly $279.

The update offers game-ready support for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, STAR WARS Zero Company, and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta. Users should note that Cyberpunk 2077 triggers a VRAM warning on the 4 GB card due to its 6 GB requirement.

Several known issues remain, including potential crashes in Starfield and Modern Warfare III on RX 9000 series products. Additionally, FSR features may appear inactive in the MW4 beta, and Smart Access Memory might disable itself during the installation.
