NVIDIA Secures Multi-Year Memory Supply Deals

NVIDIA signs long-term agreements with SK hynix and Micron as industry leaders shift toward multi-year contracts amid supply shortages.

Edgewater Research reports that NVIDIA has likely secured multi-year memory supply agreements with SK hynix and Micron. Despite these long-term deals, NVIDIA has reportedly trimmed its DRAM memory forecast specifically for its upcoming Rubin AI chip series.

The memory market is shifting as Samsung and SK hynix move away from one-year short-term contracts. The industry leaders now prefer agreements spanning three to five years, while 2027 pricing is not expected to be finalized until the end of next year.

Supply constraints remain a major concern for the tech sector. MSI's chairman warns the memory shortage could persist through 2026, while AMD predicts that pricing will not stabilize until 2028, highlighting a prolonged period of market volatility ahead.
