AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition Resale Prices Surge
AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition faces high resale prices on eBay despite its $350 MSRP and ongoing production plans.
AMD launched the Ryzen 7 5800X3D 10th Anniversary Edition on June 29 with a $350 MSRP. While identical to the original version, this edition utilizes a new bonding process. Currently, Micro Center sells the processor exclusively in-store as part of a motherboard and RAM bundle. This limited availability has led scalpers to list units on eBay for $600 to over $750, with recent sales recorded at $540 and $585. AMD has stated it plans to continue manufacturing the chip. In terms of performance, the Ryzen 7 7600X3D is approximately 15% faster in gaming than the 5800X3D, while the Intel Core i7-14700K paired with DDR4 offers matching gaming performance. Despite the high secondary market prices, the 5800X3D remains a key part of AMD's lineup as production continues.
