AMD to Raise Radeon GPU Component Prices by 10%
AMD will increase costs for GPU and VRAM bundles by at least 10 percent in August 2026, impacting board partners and retail pricing.
AMD has notified Asian board partners of a minimum 10 percent price increase for bundled GPU cores and VRAM, effective August 2026. While the new price structure was finalized in June 2026, AMD delayed implementation to monitor Nvidia's pricing strategies, as Nvidia also informed manufacturers of rising costs. This trend follows price hikes for the RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9000 series that began in late November 2025. The series, built on TSMC's N4P process, includes the RX 9070 XT with 64 CUs and 16GB GDDR6 (304W TDP), and the RX 9070 with 56 CUs and 12GB GDDR6 (220W TDP). The RX 9070 GRE also features a 220W TDP, while the RX 9060 XT offers 8GB or 16GB configurations with TDPs of 150W and 160W respectively. These component cost adjustments will directly affect custom design manufacturers.
