ModRetro Unveils M64 AV Adapter for CRT Support
ModRetro's new 98 Euro AV adapter brings CRT connectivity to the M64 console, featuring multiple video outputs and regional standards.
ModRetro, led by Palmer Luckey, has launched a new AV adapter for its M64 console, an AMD FPGA-based Nintendo 64 replica. Currently available for pre-order in a transparent Ice version for 98 Euro, the adapter enables connections to CRT televisions and monitors. The device features a transparent housing with connections for Component Video, Audio, HDMI, and USB-C power. Two rotary knobs allow users to select between video outputs including Component, RGB, S-Video, and Composite, as well as regional standards like PAL, NTSC, and a custom cartridge mode. Supported resolutions range from 240p to 480p for NTSC and 288p to 576p for PAL. While M64 console shipping began in July 2026, ModRetro expects to deliver the AV adapter before Christmas 2026.
