A leaked die shot of Apple's upcoming A20 Pro chip has surfaced on Weibo via leaker 白饭炒白米饭. The floorplan reveals a six-core CPU configuration consisting of two performance cores and four efficiency cores, alongside a new seven-core GPU for enhanced graphics.
Technical details show the performance cores share a 16 MB L2 cache, while efficiency cores utilize an 8 MB L2 cache. The chip features a widened 96-bit memory interface for LPDDR5X, with memory dies placed beside the SoC rather than using a stacked design.
Expected to debut September 9 in the iPhone 18 Pro and a new foldable iPhone, the A20 Pro offers significant upgrades over the A19 Pro. Key improvements include an additional GPU core and expanded L2 cache capacity compared to the previous 6 MB efficiency limit.
