Framework Teases 192GB LPDDR5X Desktop Config

The new Framework Desktop tier features AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor and supports up to 160GB of allocated video memory.

Framework is teasing a massive 192GB LPDDR5X memory option for its compact Framework Desktop system. This upcoming high-end configuration is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 'Gorgon Halo' processor, as revealed on the official product landing page.

The new 192GB tier utilizes LPDDR5X-8533 memory to achieve 273GB/s of bandwidth. This surpasses the current top-tier $1,999 model, which features a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip with 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and a slightly lower memory bandwidth of 256GB/s.

Because the Ryzen AI Max platform shares memory between the CPU and integrated graphics, users can allocate up to 160GB as video memory. Note that the RAM is soldered to the mainboard, so future upgrades to this capacity will require a full mainboard swap.
